Age 62 of Portsmouth went to be with the Lord Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Ross Heart Hospital at OSU in Columbus. She was born March 19, 1956 in Portsmouth to Wallace and Hannah (Flanagan) Bailey. A 1974 graduate of Wheelersburg High School, she was a member of the school’s first girls softball team, the “Bailey Bombers”.

Debbie was always a very proud and supportive Wheelersburg Pirate. She worked at Rink’s Department Store, but her lifelong passion was her church and taking care of her family. Debbie enjoyed gardening, loved watching sports with her family and spending time with them, especially her grandchildren.

She was a long time, very active member of Christ United Methodist Church in Sciotoville. She is survived by her husband, Cleve Bias; son, Cody Bias of Portsmouth; daughters, Lynnsey (Justin) Blume of Wheelersburg, Bailey Bowen of Wheelersburg; grandchildren, Libby, Kate, and Matt Blume, all of Wheelersburg; brother, Gary (Carol) Bailey of Wheelersburg; sister, Tammie (Danny) Webb of Athens, AL; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Ron Bailey, and one sister, Libby Bowen.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 30, 2018 at Christ United Methodist Church in Sciotoville with Pastor John Richards officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg. Friends may call on Sunday at the church from 4 – 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Monday.
