OBITUARY Debra Sue Bass November 30, 1953 – July 22, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Debra Sue Bass was born on November 30, 1953 and peacefully passed away on July 22, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was born one of five children to Rex and Edna McGraw, brothers, Rex and Danny McGraw, sister and brother-in-law, Joann and Bill Deulm, all proceeded her in death. She is survived by her loving husband of over 32 years, Jerry T. Bass, daughter and husband, Susette and Michael Steele; granddaughter, Rachel Corona; sister and brother-in-law, Sheila and Dalton Mann; sister-in-law, Betty McGraw and numerous nieces and nephews, all whom she loved dearly.

Debra was a very hard worker and had many jobs throughout her life, but one of her toughest was being a Military wife, which she excelled at with all the traveling, setting up and packing our home whenever we moved, time and time again, and holding down the fort while her husband was deployed. She had many friends and never met a stranger and enjoyed talking, which she passed on to her daughter and granddaughter. She was funny and always the life of the party.

She was also a proud member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans Auxiliaries. The family would like to thank her long time physician, Dr. Susan Seiler-Smith and staff, Dr. N Chintapalli and staff at Christus Cancer Center, Dr. David Abdehou and all the aides and staff that cared for her at the Chateaus at Montclair. We are also thankful for the wonderful care and compassion given to her by the staff of Southern Care Hospice.

A visitation will be at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home in Shreveport, Louisiana on Wednesday July 25, 2018 at 1:30 pm with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 pm. A graveside service will immediately follow. FAMILY Jerry T. Bass, Husband Susette and husband Michael Steele, Daughter Rachel Corna, Granddaughter Sheila and husband Dalton Mann, Sister Betty McGraw, Sister-in-law Rex Milton McGraw, Father Edna Lillian Staggs, Mother Rex McGraw, Brother Danny McGraw, Brother Joann and husband Bill Deulm, Sister She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, all whom she loved dearly.
