Obituary for Delmus L. “Buck” Pennington Delmus L. “Buck” Pennington fell asleep in the arms of Jesus on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at age 85. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Gloria Pennington; one daughter, Debra Kay Ashby; one grandson, Brian; three great grandchildren; two brothers, Frazier (Mary) Pennington and Travis (Rosie) Pennington; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Buck was preceded in death his parents, Willie and Ellie Pennington; five brothers and two sisters.

He retired from CSX Railroad after many years of service. He loved his family and was affectionately known as Uncle Buck by many. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 9, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at The New Gardendale Funeral Home.

The funeral will be Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Brother Harry Keplinger officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery.
