Obituary for Charles Clifton Bolen Charles “Charlie B.” Bolen, affectionately known by his family as Skippy, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 12, 2018 at age 78. He is survived by two daughters, Sonja (David) Bryars and Wendy (Scott) Eichelberger; one son, Christopher Bolen; four grandchildren, Taylor, Bailey, Courtney and Joshua; four great grandchildren; sister, Carolyn (Billy Ray) Dutton; and other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy Slatsky; grandson, Jake Slatsky; mother, Willie Mae Franklin; father, Clifford M. Bolen; and stepfather, Dudley Franklin.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Saratoga. He was a very kind and compassionate man that everyone loved from the time they met him. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 14, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at The New Gardendale Funeral Home.
