Obituary for Walter Howard Everhart III Howard Everhart went home to meet his Savior face to face. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Leslie Everhart; two children Emily Everhart and Christian Everhart; his father, Walter “Walt” Howard Everhart, Jr.; two sisters, Becky (James) Coleman and Tracy (Jeff) Bleil; nephew, Andy (Mary) Coleman; two nieces, Christy (Garrett) Rigsby and Kayla Bleil; mother-in law, Paulette Lynes; and a host of other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his son, Brandon Everhart and his mother, Jennie Ruth Everhart.

Howard was the Associate Minister of Worship at Gardendale First Baptist Church. He has been in worship ministry for 23 years. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force.

He blessed everyone he knew with laughter which is always good medicine. His favorite scripture was Isaiah 40:31 Yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary. Visitation will be Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Gardendale First Baptist Church North Campus.

The funeral service will be Sunday, November 18, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at the church. A graveside service will be Monday, November 19, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. EST at Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, November 19, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Burks United Methodist Church for those who are unable to attend services in Gardendale.
