Delores’ Obituary Delores L. Tam, 72, a resident of Courtyard Healthcare Center in Goshen, passed away at 11:39am at Goshen Health Hospital with family by her side. Delores (also known as “Dee Weber” and her family nickname, “Granny”) was the first of eight children born to Howard and Wilma (Housholder) Weber in Lagrange, IN. A wife to Dwayne Miller (divorced), Frank Minder (divorced), and the late Gary Tam.

She did not have any children of her own, however, she had a hand in raising her younger siblings, nephews, and nieces. A kind, caring, and loving soul – survivors left to cherish her memory are her three brothers – Jim Weber of Fort of Wayne, Rick (Janice) Weber of Oceanside, CA, and Tom Weber South Bend. Her four sisters – Marcia Larue of Ocala, FL, Nancy (Dave) Ross of Goshen, Charlotte (Jere) Gerlitzki of Cassopolis, MI, and Shelly Weber of Elkhart.

Her six nephews – Steve (Amanda) Weber of Fort Wayne, Nate Weber of Perrysburg, OH, Kris (Elaine) Umbrell of Ocala, FL, Adam (Sarah) Salyer of Sturgis, MI, Larry (Breanna) Haines of Elkhart, and Derek Weber of Mishawaka. Her four nieces – Stacy Ross, Nicole Kline, Barb Ross all of Goshen, and Kimberly Weber of Oceanside, CA. She was also the Godmother to Steve, Nicole, and Adam.

Dee loved animals and was always known to have lots of cats mixed with a small dog (or two)! She loved God with a mix of Lutheran faith, Pentecostal faith, and a splash of the teachings of the late Lester Sumrall. Dee will always be remembered for her unconditional love, her infamous laugh and the raising of her hands at any given opportunity and saying, “Amen and Praise the Lord!

” anywhere, anytime, anyplace! A private family Memorial Service and cremation has taken place and her cremains will be buried with her husband Gary at Union East Cemetery in Nappanee. Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home assisted with the arrangements.
