Dennis “Denny” Carl Magnuson, 79, of Bemidji peacefully passed away January 10, 2019 at Neilson Place, Bemidji. Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 18, 2019 at Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

He was born October 24, 1939 in St. Paul, MN. He graduated from Alexander Ramsey in Roseville, attended Dunwoody Technical Institute and served his country as a Small Arms Instructor in the U.S. Air Force. Dennis was in real estate for 27 years and a real estate broker in both Pine City and Rush City, MN.

He retired to Florida, Laporte and Bemidji. Dennis worked for 10 years at Target, also Bemidji Bus Company and last, the Paul Bunyan Transit Co. and was known for his sunny personality and shock of white hair. He loved working at his house with garden beds, flowers and vegetables and fishing at the lake with his nephew.

He sadly leaves “the love of his life” wife of 36 years Audrey (Warisch); daughter Colleen; sons John (Jamie) Doffing and Dan (Angie) Doffing; sister Mavis Johnson; brother Marvin (Diane); 12 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter and nieces, nephews and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Mabel Magnuson and son Michael. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Joe Lueken Cancer Center.
