Obituary for Ms. Diane Russell Jackson Diane Russell Jackson was born August 11, 1950 in Wilmington, NC to Emmett Russell and Peggy Jervay Russell. Diane’s mother came to know Jehovah when Diane was5 years old and instilled the love for Him in her. She dedicated her life to Jehovah on June 24,1961 at the age of 10.

At the ageof13 her mother relocated the family to New York City and adapted to city life. In1970 Diane married her first husband, Bernard DeChalus. Of the11 year marriage came four children.

Afterward she continued to raise her children as a single parent. Being a loving mother to her four children and raised them to love Jehovah, leading by example with on-breakable faith in Him, Diane enjoyed sewing and listening to music. Some of her favorite artists were Whitney Houston, Smoky Robinson, Kenny Rogers, Ann Murray, and George Benson.

She enjoyed walks in Central Park, moments with her sister Sharon at the beach, and amusement parks. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and entertaining company. She was adventurous and loved nature.

During her time in California she enjoyed drives on the coast. When moving back to the east coast, Diane drove the entire way from California with her four children, stopping to enjoy the desert. In1993 Diane was remarried to Brian Jackson in N.J, and cared for her steps on Isaiah.

For the next 25yearsshe continued in this marriage and her worship to Jehovah. She enjoyed various forms of the ministry during her 57years of service. She was very courageous as she faced the many challenges in her life.

Eventually, Diane fell asleep in death on November18, 2018at the age of 68. Diane is survived by her husband Brian Jackson, her children and in laws April DeChalus-Shelton, (Damon Shelton) Annette Evans (Walter Evans), Karen DeChalus (Timothy Nealy*ex-son in law), Michael DeChalus (Geniese DeChalus) and Isaiah Jackson. She is also survived by her siblings Emmett Russell (Sonya Russell), Sharon Russell Jackson (Thomas Jackson), Joseph Russell, Cynthia Jervay, Lisa Spina (Glenn Spina).

She had 15 Grandchildren: Donte Wilkins, Yvonne Nealy, Jasmine Nealy, Nyjhera Evans, Malachi Nealy Mariah Evans, Lauren Nealy, Autumn Terrelonge, Angeliese DeChalus, Winter Terrelonge, Aileen DeChalus, Gabrielle Evans, Walter (Wally) Evans, Michael (Mickey) DeChalus,and Olivia Shelton. She is also survived her by her Aunt Geraldine Russell of Wilmington, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and her spiritual brothers and sisters, Diane was predeceased by her mother Peggy Jervay, her father Emmett Russell senior, her brother Wade Russell, her Aunt Edith Jervay, and Willie Russell.
