Obituary for Diane S. ODell Saginaw Twp. , Michigan Loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Covenant HealthCare-Cooper Campus. Age 83 years.

The daughter of the late Raymond and Helen (Nichols) Peterson, Diane was born on April 4, 1935 in Brattleboro, Vermont. Diane graduated from Manchester Connecticut High School in 1953. She married Richard ODell on May 21, 1955.

He survives her. She started her working career as a stenographer at Aetna Life Insurance Company in Hartford, Connecticut. Over the years she worked as a secretary and switchboard operator.

During their marriage, Dick and Diane were transferred from Hartford to Providence, Rhode Island and then to Dayton, Ohio and finally to Saginaw for Dick’s company. She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church and volunteered with various church activities. Surviving besides her husband Richard are one daughter and one son, Pamela (Randy) Bohl and Mark (Irene) ODell; three grandchildren, Darren (Abby) Bohl, Scott (Jess) Bohl and Leigh Ann ODell; six great-grandchildren; her sister, Linda (Donald) Cook; and her brother-in-law, Thomas (Carol) ODell.

Honoring Mrs. ODell’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 25, 2018 at Second Presbyterian Church, 2665 Midland Rd. Pastor Ted McCulloch will officiate.

Friends may call at the church where the family will be present on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Second Presbyterian Church or Amazing Grace Animal Rescue. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd.
