Dianna L. Simpson, 78 Campbell…Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the Wasko Funeral Home, for Dianna L. Simpson, who passed away early Thursday morning, May 24, 2018. Dianna was born June 6, 1939, in Leavittsburg, Ohio, the daughter of Edna Mae Davis. She was a 1956 graduate of Braceville High School.

Dianna worked for Apple Creek State Hospital Institution, retiring in the mid 1980’s. She was of the Protestant faith. Dianna had many hobbies.

She loved playing cards and bingo with her many friends. Dianna likes to gamble, and especially enjoyed going to Mountaineer casino. She loved gardening, flowers, going to various farm markets and canning.

Dianna was a great cook and was famous for her homemade cookies and candies she made during the holiday season. Above all, she relished the time she spent with her family and her friends. Her husband, George Simpson, whom she married August 3, 2002; passed away August 4, 2004.

Dianna will be deeply missed by her children, Rich (Connie) Gwyer of Dover, Rita Reakes of Campbell; and step-daughter, April Seigman of Champion; 4 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, with 1 on the way in July; and many extended family members and dear lifelong friends. Besides her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband George; and her grandson, Christopher Reakes. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Hospice of the Valley for the kind, loving and compassionate care provided to Dianna.

The Simpson family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive family and friends Thursday from 12-1:00 p.m. at the funeral home, prior to the 1:00 p.m. funeral service.
