Julia Broda, 95 Campbell…Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, 1429 Mahoning Ave. , in Youngstown, officiated by Pastor Gary Schreckengost for Julia Broda, 95, who went home to be with Jesus early Wednesday evening on June 27, 2018, at Park Vista Nursing Home in Youngstown. .

She was born May 22, 1923, in Youngstown, the daughter of John and Mary (Smelko) Antal. Julia worked during and after WWII at General Fireproofing and General Electric. She later worked at Wells Department Store and Park Vista Nursing Home upon its’ opening.

She married John Broda, Jr., on October 26, 1947. They shared 50 years of marriage and many happy memories’ together, until his passing on February 15, 1998. She and John were lifelong members of St. John Lutheran Church.

Julia was an extremely sweet, kind, good hearted, loving and devoted wife and mother who loved God and her family. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. She leaves behind three sons, Dennis of Campbell, Robert (Mary Ann) of Michigan, and Richard of Virginia; three grandchildren, Ann, John and Kristen; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, Julia was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Mary Jakubec; and a brother, John Antal. Condolences can be shared at 9:30 a.m. at the church, prior to the 10:30 a.m. funeral service. Julia will be laid to rest at Tod Cemetery in Youngstown.
