Obituary for Dianne Lynn Seybert Age 75, of Braidwood, IL passed away Thursday, October 25, 2018 at her home. Born June 11, 1943 at the family home in Braceville, IL to the late Alfred, Sr. and Hazel (nee Jones) Pope. Dianne worked as a waitress around the area and also for the bus service, such as Ryder and Illinois Central as a monitor for special education children.

Dianne enjoyed working word search puzzles and reading. She also enjoyed playing Bingo at the Coal City library with special friends. She was a faithful Chicago Cubs fan.

Member of the Braceville Methodist Church in Braceville. She also loved spending time with her great grandchildren, Terrell and Payton Garner and Angelina Novy. Survived by her son, James “Jim” Lauridsen; granddaughter, Jamie Novy; best friend, Gordon Hansen; sister, Gloria Lockwood; brother, Don Pope of FL; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Roger Seybert, whom she married December 31, 1972; daughter, Darlene (nee Pope) Leithleiter; brothers, Alfred, Jr., Tim, Dale, Keith, Alan, and Tom; and sister, Velda Brown. Dianne would like to thank Dr. Mulki, and his nurses, and the nurses and aids on the 4th and 6th floor. They were wonderful.

As per Dianne’s wishes there will be no visitation or services and cremation rites will be accorded. Inurnment will be Braceville-Gardner Cemetery next to her late husband, Roger. Arrangements entrusted to R.W. Patterson Funeral Home & Crematory, Braidwood, IL.
