Obituary for Dixie Joan (Fultz) Drake GREENFIELD – Dixie Joan (Fultz) Drake, age 90, of Greenfield, passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Community Hospital North. She was born on January 28, 1928 in Paris, Illinois as the daughter of Lee C. and Florence (Hart) Fultz. Dixie married Thomas Arthur Drake on July 10, 1946 in Paris, Illinois.

She worked at Hancock Bank and Trust for over 20 years until retiring in 1984. While working at the bank she held many positions including; bank teller, human res, and branch manager. Dixie was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and Delta Theta Tau Sorority in Greenfield.

She was also a volunteer at Hancock Regional Hospital. Dixie enjoyed traveling and boating with her husband. Dixie and her husband, Tom participated in several bowling leagues throughout the years.

Dixie is survived by her children, Stephen (Jesse) Bemount, Becky Drake, Vicky (Jim) Traylor, Julie (Gary) Hutton, and Christie Johnson; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Izora Shook. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 21, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy.

40, Greenfield, IN 46140. Prior to the visitation a rosary service will take place at 4:30 p.m. A mass of Christian burial service will take place on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, 519 Jefferson Blvd, Greenfield, IN 46140. Father Aaron Jenkins will be officiating.

A private entombment will take place at Washington Park East. Memorial contributions may be made by mail to St. Michael Catholic Church, 519 Jefferson Blvd, Greenfield, IN 46140, or envelopes will be available at the mortuary and church. Friends may share a memory or a condolence at www.
