Obituary for Dmitri Lisquez LISQUEZ – Dmitri Lisquez, age 77, of Grand Rapids, fell asleep in the Lord on Wednesday, November 21, 2018. Dmitri is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Alice; daughter, Deidre Slabbekoorn; granddaughters, Heather Huizinga, Tiffany Slabbekoorn, Trinity Slabbekoorn, and Hayley Andree; great-grandchildren, Faith, Bradlee and Daisy Huizinga; sister, Eileen Bennett; many nieces, nephews and in-laws. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah Lisquez-Andree; brothers, Boris Lomashewich and Serge Lisk; and sister, Rita Rae Wenzel.

Dmitri was a electrical state inspector for several years. He served his country in the United States Army, and was a proud military veteran. Dmitri was a life time member of the following organizations: American Legion Post 47, VFW formerly of the Creston Post, the Casino Club, and the AMVETS.

The family will receive family and friends at the Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue, Comstock Park, on Sunday, November 25, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., with Trisagion Service at 7:00 p.m., and a visitation one hour prior to the service on Monday. The Celebration of Dmitri’s Life, will be held at the Beuschel Funeral Home, at noon, on Monday, November 26, 2018 with Father Andrew Honor’e, officiating, St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, and under auspice of Kent County Veterans Honor Guard. A procession to Alpine Center Cemetery will be at 1:00 p.m. In memory of Dmitri, please consider making a memorial contributions to the charity of one’s choice.
