Dolores Mary Wehrman, 76 of Appleton, died Saturday November 17, 2018 at Emerald Valley Assisted Living. She was born in Appleton on March 5, 1942, daughter of the late Titus and Olga (Sturke) Heigl. Dolores married Willard Van Gompel in November 1963, they later divorced.

She married Carl Wehrman on June 13, 1981. Dolores owned and operated Appleton Resale Furniture Gallery for many years. She was a very talented artist; Dolores enjoyed painting, crafts and home decorating.

She also taught upholstering at FVTC. She volunteered her time and many talents twice a week at St. Vincent de Paul. Dolores had many special pets who she loved, especially her dog, Charlie.

She did enjoy her trips to the casino. Dolores especially loved spending time at her cottage on Shawano Lake. Dolores is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Carl; her three daughters: Julie (Anthony) Combs, Oshkosh, Jennifer (Jeffrey) Schultz, Appleton, and Katie (Mike) Tobin, Sherwood; four grandchildren: Joe Van Pay, Crystal Combs, Amber Combs and Tyler Tobin; a sister, Gloria Gurga, Appleton; and a brother, Dennis (Angie) Heigl, Minnesota.

Memorial service for Dolores will be 11:00 AM on Friday November 23, 2018 at VALLEY FUNEAL HOME with Fr. Adam Bradley officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday morning beginning at 9:30 AM until the hour of service.

Inurnment will be at Highland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
