Dolores Perangelo Glabau , August 21, 1934 — March 15, 2019

Dolores Jean Glabau, 84, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, March 15, 2019 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, New Jersey. She was born Dolores Perangelo on August 21, 1934 in the Bronx, New York, where she grew up. Sixty-one years ago, she moved with her family to Emerson, New Jersey, where she remained until relocating to Middletown in 1986.

Dolores also lived in Atlantic Highlands before settling in Hazlet. Dolores was a loving and sweet woman who was kind to everyone she met. She had a genuine giving and helpful nature, which was shown in her various volunteer endeavors throughout her life.

While living in Emerson, she was the President of the Emerson Women’s Club, as well as working with the Republican party in the town and the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of America. Presently, Dolores was very involved in her Middle Road Village Community in Hazlet, where she was also the Past President, as well as a present member of the VFW of West Keansburg. Most of all, Dolores was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who was loved immensely by her family.

She was predeceased by her parents, Angelo and Edith Perangelo and her beloved husband, Elmer Glabau. Dolores is survived by her loving children, Paul A. Lynch and his wife, Patsy, of Westwood, New Jersey, and Dolores Andriola of Hazlet, New Jersey, her cherished grandchildren, Angelo Andriola and his fiance, Christine Sulca, Dennis G. Andriola Jr., Paul A. Lynch Jr., Caroline Andriola, and Catherine Lynch, along with her adored great grandchildren, Liam Grant Andriola. Dolores will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday afternoon, March 19, 2019 from 12:00 to 4:00 PM and Wednesday morning, March 20, 2019 from 10:00 to 10:45 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home on Tuesday afternoon during visitation hours. Interment will take place Wednesday afternoon at approximately 1:30 PM at St. Raymond’s Cemetery, 2600 Lafayette Avenue, Bronx, New York 10465.
