OBITUARY Donald Brooks Sorrells December 24, 1936 – November 27, 2018 Donald Brooks Sorrells was born December 24, 1936 in Hodge, Louisiana to Louise and Emmett Sorrells. He went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Mr. Sorrells was member of First Baptist Church Shreveport for more than 22 years and was in the “Yes Lord” Sunday School Class.

He retired from Hartz Mountain after 17 years in sales. Mr. Sorrells attended BPCC to be a Chef, later working for the City of Shreveport and the Sherriff’s Office. He loved to talk about the military and history, and enjoyed traveling extensively with his wife.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Charlene; his son, Tom Sorrells; sister, Sophia Roberts; two nephews, Rob Roberts and Jason Roberts with wife Deanne; two great nephews, Justin Roberts and Jonah Roberts; and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Bobby Roberts. A service celebrating the life of Mr. Donald B. Sorrells will be held Saturday, December 1, 2018, 2:00 P.M. at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home with an interment following the service in Centuries Memorial Park.

A visitation with the family will be held from 1:00 P.M. until the service time on Saturday. Rev. Ronney Joe Webb will be officiating the services.
