Donald David “Duck” Levitsky, 66, of Drums, passed away Friday afternoon at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Hazleton, following a sudden illness. Born in Hazleton, July 3, 1951 he was the son of the late Emil and Sabina (Kaplan) Levitsky, Sr. and spent the past 27 years in Drums after moving from West Hazleton. Donald had worked as a Maintenance Supervisor for several area businesses.

He was a US Air Force Veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Pulaski Club, and the Hazleton Owls Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, repairing things around his home, and spending time with his family telling stories.

He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by a daughter Dawn Levitsky, who passed away August 27, 1990; and an infant sister Karen Levitsky. Suriving are his wife, the former Judith Jubay, to whom he would have been married 29 years on May 6, 2018; four daughters and their significant others Karen Levitsky and Scott Thrash, Hazleton; Lisa Levitsky and Conrad Llewellyn III, Weston; Haleigh Levitsky and Ramon Onativia, Archbald; and Taylor Levitsky and Landon Gans, Drums; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, with one great-grandchild on the way; two brothers Stephen “Denny” Levitsky and his wife Judy, Lancaster; Emil “David” Levitsky, Jr., West Hazleton; three sisters Emily Cressman, Quakertown; Harriet Billman, Harwood; and Elaine Odorizzi and her husband Gary, West Hazleton; father-in-law Rudolph Jubay; sister-in-law Deborah Marshall; brother-in-law Jeffrey Jubay, and many nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held Tuesday at 8 pm from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (East) 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums.

Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6 pm until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Kazimir Pulaski Club of Hazle Township Scholarship Program, 608 North Street, Hazle Township, PA 18202 would be appreciated by the family.
