OBITUARY Donald Eugene Glass October 1, 1941 – July 16, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Donald Eugene Glass, 76, passed away early July 16, 2018 at his residence with his family by his side. He was born October 1, 1941, a son of the late Elwood and Susie (Ross) Glass. Donald was a member of Blue Ridge Chapel Church of the Brethren and retired from May Trucking.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy (Hillworth) Glass; brothers, Wayne, Bobby, Doug Glass; sister, JoAnn Glass. Survivors include a son, Donald “Chip” Glass and wife, Stephanie of Crimora; daughters, Donna (Glass) Herron and husband Micah, of Waynesboro, Dana Glass and husband, Mike McCrary of Crimora, sister; Geraldine Eutsler of Waynesboro; grandchildren, Dustin Glass, Michael McCrary, Patrick McCrary, Kameron Gilday, Makayla Herron, Spencer Herron, Brittany Chenault, Courtney Chenault, Brandon Chenault; great grandchildren, Jayden Glass, Myleigh Glass, Avah Glass, Caroline McCrary and Miranda McCrary; feline companions, Dozer and Tigger. He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather who enjoyed the simple things in life.

Donnie enjoyed watching his grandsons play baseball. He also enjoyed racing with his son and grandson at Eastside Speedway. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Augusta Memorial Park with Pastor Jim Corbin officiating.

Active pallbearers will be his grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2018 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 West main Street, Waynesboro, Virginia. The family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Augusta Health Hospice and his caregivers, Ashley Estes and Morgan Arey.
