Donald H. Pruessner, 83, of New Haven, MO, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at New Haven Care Center. Donald was born in New Haven, Missouri on October 5, 1934, a son of the late Elmer H. & Frances (Giebler) Pruessner. He was the widower of Patricia J. (Shelton) Pruessner.

They were united in marriage on April 15, 1956 in New Haven, Missouri. Patricia preceded him in death on October 27, 2009. Donald was a member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, New Haven.

He was a manager of the New Haven Cubs for over 30 years, served on the New Haven School Board for several terms, and he served on the original committee that formed the New Haven Community Auditorium. He worked for Hawthorne, Kellwood/American Recreation and at lastly for Intragram. Donald is survived by two daughters, Sue Gerlemann & husband Charles, of New Haven; and Lynne Denehy & husband Tim, of Ankeny, Iowa; by five grandchildren, Doug Gerlemann & wife Candace, of Nuevo Laredo, Mexico; Greg Gerlemann & wife Kate, of Hermann; Adam Kloppe & wife Katie, of Maplewood, Missouri; Rachele Maczuk & husband Dustin, of New Haven; and Sam Denehy & wife Marissa, of St. Louis; by seven great grandchildren, Charlotte, Francis, & Henri Gerlemann, of Nuevo Laredo, Mexico; Garth & Riley Gerlemann, of Hermann; and James & Julianne Maczuk, of New Haven, by two sisters, Clara Jane Wolff, of Warrenton, Missouri; and Marian Gerling, of Washington, Missouri and by many other family members and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and by one brother Bob Pruessner. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 26th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, New Haven, with Rev.

David Poe officiating. Burial will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery, New Haven. Memorials may be given to St. Peter’s U.C.C. or to Macular Degeneration.
