Donald L. Reese, 75, a lifetime resident of Chester, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2019, in the Emergency Department at the East Liverpool City Hospital, following a brief illness. Born, April 16, 1943, in Chester, he was a son of the late, Earl and Sara Wycoff Reese. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Nancy (Herb) Stowers and Betty (Jim) Allison and by his brother, Earl Reese.

A graduate of the former Chester High School, Don retired from CE Engineering, formerly Globe Brick, in Newell as a forklift operator. He will be remembered as the face of Locust Hill Cemetery where he was the caretaker for ten years. A great outdoorsman, Don’s passion and expertise was coon hunting.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Doris M. Long Reese; his son, Bruce A. Reese and his wife Amy of Chester, his daughters, Brenda (Steve Lowther) Halligan of Centerville, PA. and Cathy Septor and her husband Steve of Palm Coast, FL. ; his sister, Sally Lewis and her husband Robert of Wellsville; and his Sister-in-law, Irene “Scottie” Reese of Calcutta.

Also, he leaves 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to visit with his family Friday, February 22, 2019, from 6:00PM-8:00 PM, at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chapel in Chester.
