Obituary for Donald Ray Blackwood Donald Ray Blackwood, 83 of Magnolia, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at National Park Medical Center in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He was born on March 16, 1935 in Mineral Springs, Arkansas to the late Jesse and Margaret Elizabeth (Ross) Blackwood. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.

He graduated from Henderson State University with an accounting degree and was a private accountant for many companies in Magnolia. He was an active member of First United Methodist Church where he was a member of the Clegg Open Door Sunday School Class and a faithful volunteer with the Stew Pot Ministry. He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers and three sisters; and a great grandson, Eli Brooks Goddard.

He is survived by his wife Marilynn Blackwood of Magnolia; two daughters, Teri Burge of Magnolia and Rene` Morgan of Bastrop, Louisiana; a brother Charles “Bo” Blackwood and wife Sherryl; seven grandchildren, Sarah Howell, David Howell and wife Stacy, Mary Heinze and husband Bob, Molly Goddard and husband Jeremy, Ross Burge and wife Crystal, Tanner Burge and fiancé Hanna Sprute, and Clair Crawford and husband Kyle; sixteen great-grandchildren, Ella and Isaiah Williams, Victoria Baty, Emma Grace, Warnock, Katie Mae, Birdee, Ezra, and Charlotte Howell, Landon and Ruth Heinze, Bryce and Knox Goddard, Mckenna Grace Burge, and Lilly and Maggie Crawford; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday May 1, 2018 at Lewis Funeral Home in Magnolia. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at First United Methodist Church with Pastor Pam Estes officiating.
