Obituary for Donald Roy Junkman Donald Roy Junkman, 84, died September 23, 2018 at his home. Memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 25 at Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at St. Olaf Lutheran Church.

Don Junkman, the son of Ed and Sena (Saathoff) Junkman, was born July 9, 1934 in Calhoun County. He attended school and served in the U.S. Navy from 1952 – 1955. He married Jeanette Alspach and the couple later divorced.

Don was employed as a machinist for Specialty Machine Shop. On August 10, 1985 he was united in marriage to Linda Hungate. Don was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church.

He was an avid reader, enjoyed lottery tickets, was generous and had a love of people. Survivors include his wife Linda, his children Susan (Dale) Wells, Donette (Glenn) Klepsteen, all of Fort Dodge; Roberta Kraft of Rockwell City and David (Beckie) Junkman of Vancouver, WA; 13 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren; his siblings Larry (Becky) Junkman of Rockwell City, Kay (Ben) Gerdes of Milford. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Herb and Eddie and sister Maryls Wetzel.
