Obituary for Donald W. Bogaards “For everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven,” Don graduated from Northwestern College in Iowa, and Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey with a Bachelors in Music and a Masters in Choral Conducting. Don used his gifts and graces in 8 churches as Organist/Choir Master. He also worked for Augsburg Fortress Publishing House for 23 years.
“There is a time to be born,” Don was born May 14, 1939 to Leslie and Jennie Marie in Pella, Iowa. “There is a time to weep,” Don’s season ended November 12, 2018 at first and main Memory Care, Lewis Center. Soli deo Gloria.
“There is also a time to heal,” the family will receive friends Friday, November 16th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Crestview Presbyterian Church, 350 E. Tulane Rd. , Columbus, OH 43202 where Don’s service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, November 17th “There is a time to dance,” despite his fragile health, Don always seemed to be dancing on the inside with joy and laughter. “There is a time to love,” Don was loved by his devoted wife of 57 years, Carol; children, Celeste and David (Sheryl); granddaughters, Mackenzie and Gabrielle; brother, Dale (Gladys); Carol’s extended family; many nieces, nephews, and his steadfast friend, Chuck Gayton.
