Donald’s Obituary Donald Wayne “Cookie” Cook, 79, of Wichita Falls passed away on Friday, February 1, 2019. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Burkburnett Memorial Cemetery in the Pavilion with Mr. Nathanial Carr, officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.

Cookie was born on February 25, 1939 to the late Alon and Dessie Lee (Gann) Cook in Electra, Texas. He worked many years at Wyatt’s Motor and Brake Parts as a manager in the parts department and with Shorty’s Plumbing. He enjoyed working out in the yard, mowing, gardening and playing baseball and also, driving the shuttle at Comanche Red River Casino.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James “Shorty” Cook. Cookie is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Janie Cook; daughters, Tamra Van Burger, and Margaret Dolan; son, Gary Don Cook; stepchildren, Kathy Timmons, Patrick Murphy, and Michael Murphy; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one niece; and two nephews.
