Obituary for Don Cherry Donald Eugene Cherry, 74, Dover, Tennessee, passed away on September 7, 2018. He was born January 14, 1944 in Clarksville, Tennessee to the late Charles Edward Cherry, Jr. and Mary Emma Cherry. He was a graduate of Stewart County High School and attended Austin Peay State University.

Don met his beloved wife, Judy at Stewart County High School. They were married December 26, 1965 in Dover, Tennessee at First Baptist Church. He worked in real estate, owned, and operated Cherry Properties.

He also owned Westside Market and Deli for 28 years. Don was a School Board Member for 14 years and a County Commissioner for 24 years. He was a member of Dover First Baptist Church.

Don and Judy enjoyed their retirement years, spending time with family and friends, fishing, and APSU sports events. Don is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judy Griffin Cherry; son, Edward Cherry of Clarksville, TN; daughter, Kathryn Cherry Darke of Clarksville, TN; brother, Charles Cherry of Nashville, TN; sister, Ann Pride of Dover TN; grandchildren; Austin Cherry, Anna Cherry, Joey Darke. Services will be at 1:00 pm on Monday, September 10, at Anglin Funeral Home with Bro.

George Miller and Bro. Mark Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Dover, Tennessee.

Visitation will be on Sunday, September 9, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm and on Monday, from 11:00 am until the time of service. Serving as pallbearers are Charles Bruton, Bill Cherry, Austin Cherry, Joey Darke, Dale Ellis, Jim Myers, Don Pride, John Wallace, Sr., and Phil Wallace. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Greg Barrow, Tim Barrow, Boo Beachum, James C. Brigham, Frank Dill, Harold Link, Patty Page and Rhoda Rippy.

Memorials may be made to Dover First Baptist Church. Arrangements are entrusted to Anglin Funeral Home, Dover, TN.
