Donna Erickson August 06, 1951 – February 07, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Donna Erickson, 67, of Wahpeton, ND formerly of Rutland, ND, passed away Thursday, February 7, 2019 at Four Seasons Health Care Center in Forman. Donna Mae Erickson, daughter of Melfin and Doris (Bergstrom) Erickson was born on August 6, 1951 at Breckenridge, MN. She graduated from Sargent Central High School in 1969 and then went to work for Job Service of North Dakota in Bismarck.

After a year in Bismarck, Donna transferred to the Fargo Job Service office where she worked for four years before becoming employed with Berbube’s in Lisbon. She later went back to work for Job Service in their Wahpeton branch until her retirement on August 31, 2013. Donna was a member of the International Association of Workforce Professionals, the International Association of Personnel in Employment & Security, and the Humane Society of Richland & Wilkin Counties.

She also served on the Wahpeton Mayors Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities. Donna didn’t have any children, but she loved and cared for her cats as if they were her kids. She is survived by her sister, Mavis (Jim) Marquette, Rutland, ND; her brother, Milton (Mary) Erickson, Nortonville, ND; and two nephews, Kyle (Kathy) Marquette, Rutland, ND and Mike (Tracy) Marquette, Cogswell, ND.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Melfin and Doris. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 11, 2019 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Nordland Lutheran Church, Rutland, ND. Donna’s family welcomes all those in attendance to stay for coffee & bars at 2:00, as Donna always enjoyed coffee time wherever she was.

Pastor Jay Haaland will officiate her graveside service held in the spring at the Rutland Cemetery, where she will be buried next to her parents. Donna’s wishes were that everyone in attendance would come in casual dress.
