Struthers – Donna K. Gurd, 73, died Sunday morning, November 25, 2018 in the comfort of her home surrounded by family. Donna was born November 3, 1945 in Terra Haute, IN, a daughter of Merle and Desma (Musclewhite) Shaw. She attended Terry Parker High School in Jacksonville, FL.

While living in Florida, she met Thomas Gurd when he was serving in the United States Navy. They were wed on June 14, 1963 and she became a dedicated homemaker. In her free time, Donna enjoyed shopping, seeking treasures at yard sales, and reading.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas; daughter, Tracey (John) Heydle of New Middletown; two sons, William Gurd of Poland and Calvin Gurd of Akron; three brothers, John, Roger, and Merle Shaw, Jr., all of Florida; three sisters, Debbie (Tim) Waters, Sandra Scott, and Karen Shaw, all of Florida; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her sister, Tammy Shaw. There will be no calling hours or services.
