Mrs. Donna Lee Jarvis 76 of Eaton Rapids, Michigan died at home with her loved ones by her side on Sunday, December 23, 2018. Donna was born March 24, 1942 in Los Angeles, California to Thomas Overton Edney and Clara Mae (Dilley) Edney. Throughout her life, Donna resided in California, New York, and Michigan, but she called Choctaw, Oklahoma home.

Donna worked as a server at Cattleman’s Café in Oklahoma City for many years and retired in 2001 from the Oklahoma City Veterans Affairs Medical… Read More » Center, where she took pride in preparing delicious food as a cook. Donna was a wonderful conversationalist and loved to share memories about her family, friends, and past life experiences. She cherished time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were very special to her.

She also enjoyed playing bingo and slot machines at the casino with her family. In her spare time, Donna liked to watch her favorite televsion programs which included NCIS, Law & Order, The Big Bang Theory, Mom, and The Voice. Donna is preceded in death by her father, Thomas Overton Edney; mother, Clara Mae (Dilley) Edney; beloved husband, Richard Gail Jarvis; brothers Robert and Ray Edney; and sisters Gretta, Becky, and Lulu Edney.

She is survived by her two sons, Donald Whitworth and Billy Jarvis; brother Joe Edney; sisters Kathy Parks and Kelly Davis; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. A private funeral service will be held for Donna’s immediate friends and family. She will be laid to rest with her husband in Del City, Oklahoma.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Great Lakes Caring Hospice or to the family to cover funeral expenses.
