Dawn was born in Eaton Rapids, October 9, 1955, the daughter of Harold and Shirley (Johnson) Kemper. She worked at a nursing home for many years and the Movie Market in downtown Eaton Rapids before she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.

Dawn enjoyed traveling with her husband Freddy, listening to classic rock music, going to museums, baking, sewing, fishing and especially, spoiling her granddaughter, Sophia. Dawn is survived by her husband, Freddy Adkins; daughters, Miracle Adkins of Eaton Rapids, Jade Adkins of Albion; granddaughter, Sophia Adkins-Schlappi of Eaton Rapids; sister, Penny Sattazahn of Dimondale. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Teresa Kemper.

No services are planned at this time. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation. Arrangements were entrusted to the Mills Funeral Home, Shelly-Odell Chapel in Eaton Rapids.
