Kerry was born in Lansing, MI. , September 2, 1962, the son of Harold Clay and Elsie (Lawson) Williams.

He was a jack of all trades and loved to tinker on anything he could get his hands on. Kerry was an avid bowler at Holiday Lanes. He also loved to help build race cars and race with his good friend Stan Preston.

He will be remembered as a man with a big heart and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Kerry is survived by his daughter, Roxie Scripter of Ionia; step-daughter, Tiffany Dexter of Holt; grandchildren, Krisanto, Kayton and Kolton; siblings, Janie King of Ionia, Bonita Gibbs of Mason, Timothy (Diane) Clay of Bath, April Clay of Ionia, Lorna (Dale) Marsh of Plainwell, Eric Clay of South Lyons and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Harry Gibbs Jr

It was Kerry’s wish that his family and friends hold a picnic in his memory that will be held at a later date. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Sparrow Hospice or the American Cancer Society. Arrangements were entrusted to the Mills Funeral Home, Shelly-Odell Chapel in Eaton Rapids.
