Donnell Byndom passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October23 at OU Medical Center. He was 63 years old. Donnell was born March 1, 1955 in Forrest City, Arkansas to Emmitt Byndon and Annie Mae (Buntin} Byndon.

He was the youngest of their 8 children. Upon graduation from high school, Donnell enlisted in the Navy. After his stint in the military, he met, fell in love and married Deidra Jo “Dee” Ragan.

, March 6, 1993. Deidre brought three daughters to their union, Candi, Brandi and Tamara. Donnell joined the Water Department for the City of Del City, June 30, 1989.

He began his career as a ditch digger but through hard work and dedication, retired as a Sewer Line Maintenance Supervisor, July 15, 2011. Donnell knew the Lord as his personal savior and was called to preach and spread the good news to family, friends and everyone he encountered. God gave him a charitable heart, which could be seen in how he lived his life and the impact he had on the lives he touched.

Donnell loved watching football, basketball, going to the NASCAR Races and was always ready to go fishing. In his younger years, he was a star soft ball player and was recruited by several teams. Donnell was a good “Friend of Bill W “, for over 30 years.

Donnell was preceded in death by his spouse, Deidra, his parents, sisters, Clara, Willie and Euzelia; brothers, Larry, Verner and Jimmie. He leaves to cherish his memory, beloved girlfriend Linda Branning; step-daughters, Candi (Devin) Shelgren, of Austin Texas, Brandi (Jason) Fritts of Round Rock Texas and Tamara (Lee) Graumann of Del City, Oklahoma; brother, Emmitt, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Brittany Simmons, Amber Griffin, Ragan Shelgren, Brodie Shelgren, Erica Ragan, Patrick Graumann; loving in-laws, Brenda, Marlene, Edna and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
