Obituary for Dorene Lovie Eliza Parker Dorene Lovie Eliza Moesser Parker passed away May 5, 2018 after a long battle with cancer. She was born March 9, 1939 in Afton, Wyoming to Franklin and Mae Moesser. Dorene married Fred Maughan Parker on July 15, 1960 in the Logan LDS Temple.

She spent most of her adult life in Montana raising their family and helping Fred on the farm. She taught school for many years at Drummond Elementary. Dorene was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She lived a life of service, including serving two missions with her husband. Dorene was always one of the first to offer help, meals, friendship, and a listening ear…even during her years of illness. She is an amazing woman who has blessed the lives of all who came in contact with her.

Dorene’s favorite hobby was quilting. She pieced together dozens of beautiful quilts that are treasured by all who received them. Like the quilts, her example, positive influence, and grace through hardship will be remembered and treasured for generations to come.

She leaves a beautiful legacy with her 10 children: Carmel, Natalie (Steve), Julie (Cordell), Steven (Kim), Susan (Doug), Chad (Michelle), Andrew (Jen), Jason (Heidi), Jared (Wendy), and Christian (Emily). She also leaves behind 46 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Her husband preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held May 14th at 10:00 a.m. with a viewing beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the LDS chapel at 4775 S 4875 W, West Haven, UT. Dorene requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Cancer Research, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or Multiple Sclerosis Research.
