Doris’ Obituary Doris Eulene Stone, age 81, of Warsaw, MO, passed away early Saturday morning, February 9, 2019, at her home. She was born on August 5, 1937, in Macks Creek, MO, the oldest of five children born to Walter Hugh and Ruby Ilene Pennel Bentch. Doris grew up in Macks Creek where she graduated from high school.

On July 3, 1955, she was united in marriage to Robert E. Stone and they made their home in Windsor, MO. Doris worked for 12 years at the International Shoe Factory in Windsor before moving to Warsaw in 1968 where they made their home and raised their two daughters, Nancy and Connie. While living in Warsaw, Doris was a past member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and a faithful member of the Warsaw Nazarene Church where she was church organist for several years.

Doris loved music, especially gospel music, and could play almost any instrument. She also enjoyed oil painting. Doris and Robert fished together and spent many hours on the lake in their pontoon boat.

They also enjoyed traveling and driving through many of the national parks in the country. Doris was fortunate to have visited all of the 52 states. The time she most treasured was the time spent with Robert and her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert, a brother, Kenny Bentch and her year-old sister, Betty Ruth. Doris is survived by her daughters, Nancy (Bret) Yount of Olathe, KS and Connie (Rick) Foster of Cross Timbers MO, two grandchildren, Ross (Krista) Foster, and Karlie Yount, three step-grandchildren, Kayla (Megan) Yount, Brittan (Zach) Tincher and Tanner Yount, and one great-grandson, Jase Foster and one step-great grandson, Beckett Yount. Also surviving is two sisters, Lucille Eaton and Freda Jackson, both of Camdenton, MO, a sister-in-law, Betty Creach of Windsor, MO, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services for Doris Stone will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, February 16, 2019, at the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw, MO with family receiving friends beginning at 10:00 A.M., Saturday. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Warsaw, MO. Memorials may be made to the Warsaw Nazarene Church or the Riverside Cemetery in care of the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw, MO.
