Doris Green, age 60 of Bloomville, passed away Friday, January 11, 2019 at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky. She was born June 10, 1958 in Ingolstadt, Germany the daughter of Thomas and Betty Leichtl. Doris married Mark Green on October 7, 1977 in Hanau, Germany before moving to the United States in 1978.

She worked at Pepperidge Farms for 28 years as a packager and a machine operator until her retirement in 2013. She enjoyed gardening, reading, animals especially cats, watching old westerns, and garage sales. Doris is survived by her husband, Mark Green of Bloomville; parents, Thomas and Betty Leichtl of Germany; children: Tom (Kim Panozzo) Green of Anderson, IN, and Natalie Green of Bowling Green, OH; step-grandchild, Averie Panozzo; and brother, Thomas Leichtl of Germany.

Doris is preceded in death by her uncle, Theodore in Germany; and Father and Mother-in-law, Vernon “Stubby” and Marilyn Green. Friends will be received Sunday, January 13, 2019 from 3-7pm at Foos and Foos Funeral Home, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue, OH 44811. A funeral service will be held Monday, January 14, 2019 at 1:00pm also at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Lyme Grange Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Doris’ honor to the Humane Society of Seneca County, 2811 OH-100, Tiffin, OH 44883.
