Doris J. Dunlap, 85, formerly of 106 Quarry Rd. , Muncy, died Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the Susquehanna Health Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center at the Muncy Valley Hospital. Born August 5, 1932 in Franklin Twp.

, Lycoming county, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Bessie (Brown) Temple. On November 7, 1953, she married Kenneth J. Dunlap, who preceded her in death Oct. 22, 2014.

Together they celebrated 60 years of marriage. Doris attended Chestnut Grove one-room school near Pine Summit and was a 1951 graduate of Muncy High School. She worked at the former Paul’s Department Store, Muncy for many years.

Doris was a longtime member of St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church, Muncy. She enjoyed going to flea markets, yard sales and collecting antiques. Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, J. Stephen Dunlap and Gary L. and Amy Dunlap, all of Montoursville and one niece, Kathleen B. Sherwood, of Clarkstown.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Nancy C. Sherwood. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the Muncy Cemetery.

The family is being assisted by Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy.
