The daughter of Emmett Paul Papin and Dorothy Opal (Wilcoxson) Papin, she was born July 11, 1930, in Oklahoma City. Doris married Ronnie Savill in Gainesville, Texas.

She was a homemaker and was Christian in faith. In her spare time, she enjoyed raising chihuahuas and shopping. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ronnie Savill; one son, David Patterson; one daughter, Kathy Stanley; three brothers, Emmett Paul Papin, Jr., Billy Waxler, and Sonny Papin; and one sister, Dorothy Ann Knight.

Doris is survived by one daughter, Dianna Carroll and husband, Ben, of Texas; one son-in law, Kevin Stanley of Newcastle; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; two sisters, Judy Dockery of Choctaw, and Patty Burwell and husband, Jimmy, of Moore; one brother, Robert Neal Papin of Nevada; her caregivers, Amy Zimmerman and Robert St. Clair of Newcastle; and many other loved ones and friends. Graveside funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, March 29, 2019, in the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
