Doris was born January 27, 1928, in McCamey, TX, to Edward E. and Lucille M. Tucker. Doris was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Donald Ray Tucker; and a great granddaughter, Kennedy Nicole Smith. She is survived by her husband, Ralph W. Hefner; children, Gaye Searight, Gloria Cook, and husband, Larry, Richard Nolan, and wife, Betty, Carol Davis, and husband, Darrell; brothers, Leonard Tucker, Jackie Lee Tucker; nine grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, December 28, at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer.
