Obituary for Doris Troutman Doris Troutman, age 88, of Hampton, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 10, 2018 from the Life Care Center of Elizabethton. Doris was born in Carter County to the late Frank and Sallie Main Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Guy Troutman; and several brothers and sisters.
Doris was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Rittertown Baptist Church where was the choir director for over 30 years. Doris was a member of Eastern Star and enjoyed genealogy and loved singing praises to the Lord.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Anthony Troutman and wife Debbie, of Hampton; two granddaughters, Allison, and Cyndie and her husband Travis; and five great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. A service to celebrate the life of Doris Troutman will be conducted at 3:30 PM on Thursday, December 13, 2018 in the Rittertown Baptist Church with Reverend Richard Stout, officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:30 PM in the church, prior to the service on Thursday. The graveside service will follow in the Rittertown Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
