Obituary for Dorothy C. “Dot” Willsey (Frye) MECHANICVILLE – Mrs. Dorothy “Dot” C. Willsey, 80, of Willow Glen Rd. , died Sunday, Dec. 16th at home, in the loving company of her family.
Born in Schenectady, April 13, 1938, daughter of the late Edward and Anna Frye, Dot was a secretary and supply/administrative clerk for the NY State Division of Military and Naval Affairs in Latham, for over 30 years, before retirement. An avid Elvis Presley fan, Dot enjoyed baking, knitting and everything Christmas. Above all, Dot loved raising her children, watching them grow and multiply into her beloved family.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years Donald Earl Willsey, children: John (Halina) Willsey of Cohoes, Lance Willsey of Broadalbin, Scott (Tiama) and Kelly (Michael Walsh) Willsey both of Mechanicville. Also beloved grandchildren: Stephanie (Kevin), John, Candice, Curtis, Matthew, Julie, Katie, Jarrod and Keira and several great grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, at 10 AM at DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So.
Main St., Mechanicville, with burial to follow at Saratoga National Cemetery. Calling hours at Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4-7 PM.
