Dorothy “Chickie” Cowen 85 years of age of Lower Burrell on Saturday, July 7, 2018. Beloved wife of 63 years to Pete Cowen. Dear mother of Susan Keefer of Shaler, Tim (Sharon) Cowen of Florida and Tracey Hill of Delmont.

Six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Elizabeth Shimmin, a sister Lois Cropcho, and a brother Tom Shimmin. Chickie loved her family, fixing up her house, bowling, and yes The Pittsburgh Steelers.

Family and friends will be received at the Frank F. Gigler Funeral Home, Inc., Robert P. Karish , supv. 2877 Leechburg Rd. , Lower Burrell (724-335-6500) on Tuesday Only 2-4 & 6-8PM where services will be held on Wednesday at 11AM Interment Plum Creek Cemetery.
