Dorothy F. “Dottie” Taylor, 94, Lakemont, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2019, at The Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg. She was born January 11, 1925, in Altoona, daughter of the late Edward and Hattie (Smith) Mitchell. She married Alvin R. “Whitey” Taylor on Oct.

30, 1952, in Duncansville. He passed away on April 1, 1997, after having shared 44 years of marriage. Surviving are two daughters: Debbie A. Socie and husband, Randy, of Lakemont and Susan J. Lahr and husband, Daniel, of Altoona; four grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.

She was a member of the former St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Altoona. At the request of the family, there will be no public services. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg.
