Dorothy Hupp Gray, age 96, of Hahn Ridge Road, Chaplin, passed away at 9:30 p.m., Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Flaget Memorial Hospital. A native of Nelson County, she was born on January 19, 1922 to the late Leslie and Stella Hahn Hupp. She was a member of Chaplin Christian Church and a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Gray on September 30, 1998; a great grandson, Brad Hood; four sisters, Ruby Hardin, Louise Terrell, Catherine Wilson and June Merziweller and three brothers, Leslie Hupp, Charles Hupp and Russell Hupp. Survivors include three daughters, Linda Hood (Frank), Judy Colvin (Donald Lee) and Susan Calvert (Tommy) all of Chaplin; nine grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren and seventeen great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 22nd at the Barlow Funeral Home in Bardstown with Bro.

Ronnie Hupp, officiating. Burial will be in the High View Cemetery at Chaplin. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters, Shannon Prather, Shari LaFoe, Julie Shouse, Tina Gillis and Tonya Calvert Jones.

Serving as casket bearers will be her grandsons, Stevie Hood, Tony Calvert, Jason Colvin, Chad Hood and sons-in-law, Donald Lee Colvin and Tommy Calvert. Visitation will be held from 4 until 8 Sunday at the Barlow Funeral Home in Bardstown. Carey & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
