OBITUARY Dorothy “Katie” Kay Gillispie March 27, 1953 – September 23, 2018 Dorothy Kay “Katie” Gillispie, 65, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2018. She was born March 27, 1953 in Louisville, the daughter of Gene and Mary (Burton) White. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Joey Lamont Gillispie.

Katie worked in Restaurants and Customer Service; she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter Josie and her dogs, Maso and Etta. She was also an avid gardener and liked to spend time “wandering”. She leaves to cherish her memory her three children, Kristi, Josh and Jimmy (Nicole); her granddaughter, Josephine; a brother, Joe White (Phyllis); a brother-in-law, Jim Gillispie (Sandy); a sister-in-law, Brenda Kimes; and her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews and friends.

A service to celebrate Katie’s life will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Thursday, September 27, 2018 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady-Cralle Funeral Home, 2428 Frankfort Ave. Visitation will be from 2-8 PM on Wednesday and from Noon until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be given to The Women’s Healing Place.
