Obituary for Dorothy Louise Erickson ERICKSON, DOROTHY LOUISE Of Kalamazoo Passed away April 11, 2018 in Kalamazoo, MI. Dorothy was born February 5, 1921 in Dowagiac, MI, the daughter of John and Hattie (Allison) York. On February 12, 1938, she married William T. Erickson in Kalamazoo.

Dorothy enjoyed crocheting, sewing, making doll clothes and tending to her rose garden. The most important part of her life was her family. She was preceded in death by her husband William; her parents; and her siblings Robert York, Richard York, Clara McCann, Betty Weaver.

Surviving are her daughter Beverly Creek; her granddaughters Dawn (Dan) Faulman and Tamara Creek; her great-granddaughters Amanda (Jason) Whittaker and Lisa Meyer (Carl Cohen); her great-great-grandchildren Nicholas (Kelly) Kilbourn, Hannah Whittaker (Joel Pyard) and Alexander Whittaker; her great-great-great-grandchildren Evelyn Pyard and Asher Kilbourn; nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00PM on Monday, April 16th at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., where the funeral service will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday, April 17th. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
