EDGERTON— Dorothy M. Rossa, age 94, of Edgerton, died on Sunday, September 23, 2018, at Edgerton Community Memorial Hospital. She was born in Sullivan, WI on July 4, 1924, the daughter of Harry and Nora (Larson) Olson. Dorothy was a 1941 graduate of Edgerton High School.

She married Clarence “Mike” Ward on June 11, 1957 in Charles City, IA, and he preceded her in death on November 10, 1976. Dorothy was a member of Edgerton United Methodist Church and Women of the Moose Chapter 477.

She enjoyed taking care of her family, visiting Casinos, and keeping her house and yard very neat. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Shelly (Rocky) McGuire of Edgerton; 3 grandchildren: Amy (Mark) Langer of Edgerton, Daniel (Danielle) McGuire of Dayton, OH and James (Haley Wileman) McGuire of Edgerton; 4 great-grandchildren: Eli, Evan, Owen and Luke; a brother, Floyd Olson of Footville; a sister, Elizabeth “Bette” Wilke of Milton; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; 4 brothers: Eugene, Merrill, LaVerne and Donald Olson; and 3 sisters: Edith Haugen, Ione Tofsland and Janet Jacobson.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 27, 2018, at EDGERTON UNITED METHODIST CHURCH with Rev. Sukhyun Jung officiating. Burial will be at Milton Lawns Memorial Park, Janesville.

Visitation will take place on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. APFEL EHLERT FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, Edgerton is assisting the family.
