OBITUARY Dorothy T. Girard February 2, 1927 – September 4, 2018 Dorothy (Kubik) Girard, 91, of Brewster, died peacefully on Tuesday, September 4, 2018. She was the wife of the late George W. Girard. Dorothy was born in Dudley, MA, the daughter of the late Mathias and Ludmilia (Jakubcik) Kubik.

She graduated from Bryant College in Providence, RI. She lived in Syracuse, NY for several years and Stamford, CT, from where she retired to the Cape in 1987. Prior to her retirement, Dorothy had various jobs in advertising, retail and the medical field.

Dorothy attended Our Lady of the Cape Church and was a member of their Women’s Club. She also worked in their Thrift Ship. She delivered Meals on Wheels for many years.

Dorothy was also a former member of the Captain’s Golf Course 9-hole league and was an avid bridge player. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, October 12th at Our Lady of the Cape Church in Brewster with committal service immediately following at Brewster Memorial Cemetery on Lower Road in Brewster, MA.

Dorothy would like to extend a special thanks to her niece Karen Peck and the wonderful staff of Wingate in Brewster. Memorial donations may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Needy Fund, c/o Our Lady of the Cape Church, 468 Stony Brook Rd. , Brewster, MA or the church Memorial Fund.
