Obituary for Mrs. Dorothy W. King Dorothy W. King (Wright) age 89 years of Bridgeport died peacefully on Thursday September 6, 2018 at home surrounded by her family. Mrs. King was born in Bridgeport where she remained lifelong resident. She worked for DuPont Eastern Labs (Gibbstown), Sealy (Logan Twp), and the Building Inspectors Office (Bridgeport).

She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church Swedesboro, Logan Township Senior Citizens Club, served on the Logan Twp. Board of Education and volunteered for many other civic activities. She was an avid reader, enjoyed knitting, and traveled extensively.

Mrs. King also treasured spending time with family and friends at her summer home in Chincoteague, Virginia. Mrs. King is survived by her children, Susan and Lawrence Rush of Bridgeport, Phillip and LouAnn King of Chincoteague, VA, Walter and Julie King of Virginia Beach, VA, David and Diane King of Elkton, MD, Mary King of Bridgeport; her grandchildren, Phillip, Caroline, Benjamin, Patrick, Laura, Rachel, Alexandrea, Emma, Christian, Zak, Kyle, Lauren and Landon and her great grandchildren, Emily and Ellie. Mrs. King was predeceased by her husband, Phillip M. King.

Relatives and friends are invited to meet from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Thursday September 13th at McBride – Foley Funeral Home, 228 W. Broad St., Paulsboro, NJ 08066. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM followed by interment at Lake Park Cemetery, Swedesboro NJ. Contributions can be made in her memory to Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America.
