Duane E. Johnson, 87, of Worthington, Indiana and formerly of Clay City, Indiana passed away at Glenburn Nursing Home, in Linton on June 1, 2018. Duane was born on November 10, 1930, in Clay City, Indiana the son of Arthur and Pauline (Hayman) Johnson who have preceded him in death. He joined the United States Army at the age of 18 and retired from the United States Air Force in 1971.

She preceded him in death on March 30, 2001. Duane attended Clay City Elementary and High School. Duane is a member of the American Legion Post #196 of Bloomfield, Handyman Club of America and the Senior Citizens of Worthington.

Surviving are 2 sons Kevin Johnson and Kendel Johnson both of Kansas and a daughter Starla Kay Anderson. Visitation will be at Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, 301 E. Eighth St. Clay City, Indiana 47841 on Monday, June 4, 2018 from 11-1. Services will follow at 1:00pm.

Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery with military honors provided by the Clay City American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars as well as the United States Air Force. Visit www. schoppenhorstfuneralhome.com to light a candle in his memory.
