BAYES—Duke Merwyn Bayes, 66, of Orange Park, Fl passed away on June 19th, 2018. He was born on March 10th, 1952 in Charleston, WV to the late Wesley and Marverine (Justice) Bayes. Duke served in the United States Airforce from 1972-1976.

The first part of his career was spent as a pipefitter and later he worked in building maintenance. Duke is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Peggy (Nunn) Bayes; his sons, Brad Bayes and his wife Jodi; Derek Bayes and his fiancé April Burke; his brother, David Bayes;3 grandchildren, Katie, Alison and Autumn. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, June 27th, 2018 at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218 with Dr. David McDonald officiating and full Military honors conferred.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, June 28th, 2018 at 6:30 PM at Lakeside Church of Christ 2539 Moody Ave Orange Park, FL 32073. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Mayo Clinic.
